Dordrecht is a richly historic city in South Holland (within the western Netherlands). This island city is bounded by five rivers, a fact that gave the city an important role in the story of the Dutch people. A key trading city in the 12th and 13th centuries, Dordrecht was also the location of the Union of Dordrecht—a meeting that ultimately led to the founding of the Dutch Republic.

The Dordrechts Museum celebrates the culture of the Dutch Republic with one of the largest and most wide-ranging collections of art by Dutch masters. Explore the works of Cuyp, Van Gogh, and Jan Toorop (among others) at this excellent gallery, which is 7 minutes on foot from our Visstraat location. The Huis Van Gijn, another top tourist attraction in Dordrecht, is also close to APCOA PARKING Visstraat. It’s a 5-minute walk from the car park to this museum, which showcases interiors from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, as well as the ‘Van Gijn Atlas’—a large collection of prints and drawings.

For a hit of medieval history, head to the Grote Kerk in Dordrecht’s Old Town. You can walk to the Grote Kerk in 6 minutes from our Visstraat car park. Or, if recent history is more your thing, park in our Maasplaza location and check out the Museum 1940-1945. This museum, which is 5 minutes from Maasplaza, explores the history of the Resistance in Dordrecht.

Movie lovers visiting Dordrecht are in for a treat. The city hosts a cinema that shows a varied programme of arthouse, Hollywood and independent films, all chosen for their accessibility and quality. It’s called The Movies Dordrecht, and you can walk to it from our Visstraat location.

Our Visstraat car park is also handy for Dordrecht’s main shopping streets: Visstraat,Voorstraat, and Statenplein.
